Oderzo

E’ un comune italiano in provincia di Treviso in Veneto, attraversato dal fiume Monticano.
ll territorio è completamente pianeggiante essendo inserito nel cuore della pianura veneta.

 PIAZZA GRANDE

 

Piazza Grande è di forma rettangolare e possiede una particolarità: la sua forma a palcoscenico.

A lato sud della piazza, un tempo le mura della città, al centro si apriva la porta trevisana -> uscita per andare a Treviso.

attualmente quest ultima è il famoso Torresin, simbolo della città.

MERIDIANA

Probabilmente la più grande in italia. Ricopre il ruolo di calendario grazie all’ombra del pinnacolo del duomo.

 DUOMO DI SAN GIOVANNI BATTISTA

Inizialmente il suo stile era romanico-gotico, è stato però rovinato dai lavori eseguiti nei secoli. Negli anni venti risale l’ultimo restauro ripristinando l’antico modello dell edificio compromesso.

RESTAURO PIAZZA 1992

Il grande restauro della piazza è avvenuto nel 1992 dall’architetto Toni Follina, resa così una piazza adiacente ai pedoni con realizzazione della pavimentazione attuale. In quel periodo altri grandi restauri: Torreson e tutti gli edifici che si affacciano alla piazza.
